Happy Birthday to Walter and Happy Equinox to All

We woke up to this, this morning. The first snow of the season. On the first day of spring. It didn't lie where we are, so we may take a trip to the mountains to see it, as more is forecast for the rest of the week.

Walter's birthday was last Friday, and he came home from a business trip to 2 excited boys and a treasure hunt on Saturday. We played 'hotter/colder' after the boys had hidden his presents. Allie's a master at it and Toby's responses consisted of pointing and telling where the present was. We got him a trotinette, so now he can keep up with the wee boys. He's been riding it to work too... until the snow!

The three boys and the most important cake. I bought it at the BEST chocolatier-confisier in the whole wide world: Walder. This is the only reference I could find to them. I would say that they have better chocolate than Wodey/Suchard! The cake didn't disappoint either. I was a bit nervous about choc. people making lemon cake, but it blew our minds. I've never tasted anything like it.

I forgot the camera on the trotinette excursion. Next time though, and there will be many judging by how happy the boys were to have Walter trotting along with them. I was taking up the rear on quad skates. It's been a looong time, and I really need to practice. The locals got a good laugh, though.

A picture for a present too

Here's an extra tidbit. "Are those teeth marks in the butter? Did you eat the butter again, Toby?" "No, Mummy" "Tell me the truth, Toby, did you take a bite" "Allie did it" and so on.... Toby actually did it, and he's an accomplished liar now. Isn't he a bit young?
